Until recently, MSC (quality mark for sustainable fishing) did not set requirements for working conditions. While there is still a lot of forced labor in shrimp fishing. You don't think about that when you buy a box of shrimp bearing the MSC logo.

Questionmark published a comparison of fish products on sustainability in 2016. Products with a high risk of forced labor received a low mark, even if they were approved by MSC.

Shortly thereafter, MSC announced that it would also set requirements for working conditions. In this way Questionmark ensures that quality marks continue to develop.
