With a quality mark, a brand can show that it is making efforts to make more sustainable products. Questionmark uses the definitions of top quality mark as established by Milieu Centraal.

Demeter

Products with the Demeter certificate in the Netherlands always meet the requirements of organic farming, and therefore have the European quality mark for organic as well. On top of that, Demeter has additional conditions. For example, half of the feed must come from the company itself and a lower degree of fertilization applies. Biodynamic agriculture stems from anthroposophy, a philosophy of life that is based on cohesion between man, plant, animal, soil and cosmos. There is a lot of attention for closing biochemical cycles. The strict requirements and good control and transparency make Demeter one of the strictest quality marks for agriculture and animal husbandry.

These other certificates and logos do not meet the guidelines on reliability and transparency of Topkeurmerken as defined by Milieu Centraal.
